We were always encouraged to boldy witness. I did my best and made sure everyone knew I didn't celebrate Christmas. So this year, friendly people have been saying to me, "you don't celebrate Christmas." This has given me a fine opportunity to explain what happened to me.

A positive about been a former JW
by joe134cd ini decided on christmas day to wash the house and do some yard work.
i had a concerned neighbour come out and bring me some of their christmas food.
although i appreciated the food and wished her a merry christmas, the neighbour was concerned as to why i wasn’t inside enjoying christmas.

Hi Smiddy - no suggestions but I have one that I'm going to do as well. I am delighted to let you know I have been sent a copy of the little brochure 'Return to Jehovah'.
I know the big bad GB are so and sos, but the individual publishers can be so sweet. So I'm going to take the approach that they wrote to me because they care and I'm going to convey that I care very much about them.

Data-Dog - yes they are Communists with religion - the logic behind 1914 is that the messiah is a new age of history not Jesus Christ's promised return. They want a nice crisis to say 'we are in a new age/epoch of Man's history, therefore you must do things our way.'
One of the elders in my ex-cong was asked to be the Agenda 21 rep for our area. He told me this himself back in the 90s (I think). I was quite a while ago. His best friend wanted to be a Sufist. They were very, very close. The best friend was not a JW.
This is the same JW family who set up the Jah-Jireh nursing homes.

Road to nowhere - they can't count. Well they can but it's special counting. And the covid referred to might be the 11th plague visited upon the Eygptians (Exodust 41:42) which will be dealt in in next week's Watchtower study which took place last year.
They are gaslighters - and you need to always have your gaslight snuffer to hand when dealing with them.
Neat Blue Dog - they are very civil rights/green aren't they. As if that's the people they were out looking for. What you find amongst the deep greens is that they consider Pan is the one who will return when all the industry has gone. Then Pan and the nymphs and satyrs will prance back and everyone will be... back in the Age of Aquarius or something. That was supposed to be 1975 though wasn't it? :)

God gave me a brain - I know that people have to have come before they have arrived and thereafter they are present.
Jesus said what Jesus said - I realised Watchtower was messing with the meaning of Jesus' words and that I had been lied to in my Bible study. Watchtower's con trick might be clever but Jesus' words cannot be tampered with. So I credit Jesus and thank His Father, Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob for giving me a brain.

after my mother passed away a few years ago, i pretty much lost most contact with the witnesses.
a couple that were family friends for many years stopped checking on me to say hello.

Exactly - which ends up with you having to put your foot down hard on the excuses accelelorator.
Another observation - people in difficult circumstances who prove malleable are still dripping in (very few). Others who have faded for a non-scriptural reasons are being treated with kid gloves - publishers going 'coochy coo' at them.
If any of these remain or return, that into which they are going, will prove harder to leave. If they have trusted Watchtower, handed over various rights and dowloaded whatever - Watchtower can track and trace. And you know how keen some of those elders can be. Also what experts they are at firing emotional pain long distance. Or attempting to fire it.

Nebuchadnezzar's reign is thereafter rendered irrelevant. The only things that really matter are the kings of Judah but even more than the kings, the prophets themselves. And the prophets have no ascension-year.

Hi Shepherdless - sorry I misunderstood.
Hi Jeffro - you are missing the point - you have no need to go into any accession years. The entire thing is covered by 7 scriptures and at the end you realise - the date of the fall of Jerusalem is whatever you want it to be by whatever calendar you want. And providing that is consistent with the 41st year of Jeremiah's preaching - you are good to go. Oh and consistent with the 23rd year of Jeremiah's preaching...and.. oh I wont spoil the video series for you. :)
Someone else will be having a go at the dates on this thing - I will point you to the website at some point during the series of videos. But the dates wont be there immediately because it is work in progress and I can only do so much.
The key point you need to know about the 18th year of Nebuchadnezzar's rulership is that it is preceeeded by his 17th year of rulership and is followed by his 19th year of rulership. Also that the count to get to his 19th year of rulership starts with his 1st year of rulership, which is followed by 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc.
Its not difficult. Honest.
